Position Summary

****This position could be located in either Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL****

The Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) will assist with planning, development and execution of all field and channel marketing programs to increase the effectiveness of field sales and the channel in growing their business. The position is responsible for lead generation and awareness programs targeting prospects and customers in the region. The RMM is responsible for creating and executing the marketing plan, program management, analysis, tracking and reporting for field and channel marketing initiatives across the geographic region. The RMM is also responsible for setting the strategy for regional channel marketing, focusing on the definition and communication of demand generation programs through the Named Citrix Channel. The individual plays an active role in defining the go-to-market strategies, including channel marketing readiness strategies and investments, best practices,

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Citrix Regional sales management team to define regional marketing goals and objectives in order to develop regional marketing plan that aligns with sales goals

• Create a marketing plan that maps to regional budget and sales management needs

• Incorporate market research as part of regional program strategy and planning

• Execution and management of regional marketing programs (email, direct mail, online, events)

• Manage vendors & develop and manage online, print & radio advertising campaign strategy for region

• Alignment of regional channel & end user quarterly program strategy to ensure that regional messaging is consistent

• Drive regional joint Citrix / Alliance partner (IBM, SAP, HP, Microsoft) marketing programs by leveraging partner funds

• Management of regional seminars and events to include strategy, production, implementation, execution and measurement, working closely with the Americas Marketing Centralized Team for leverage

o Identify & secure speakers & staffing for events

o Management & distribution of the event property regional inventory & leverage of the Americas properties, signage and demo systems

o Drive content, demos and messaging

o Manage pre & post event activities, including measurement of program effectiveness to improve ROI

o Manage vendors for logistics, content, collateral & promotional items

o Perform onsite event coordination, when appropriate

• Management & administration of purchase orders & budget reporting

• Responsible for lead processing, submission and tracking for regional programs

• Align with Integrated Marketing team in order to leverage national marketing programs and customize as appropriate for the region

• Be the “go to” marketing resource for the region

• Ensure timely execution of general administrative tasks & assist with ad-hoc projects as needed

• Manage Co-op & MDF Budget & Resources in line with business priority & direction

• Educate named channel on the functionality of the marketing tools available to them and the processes that support the marketing tools.

• Increase partners utilization of the marketing tools/templates while minimizing the expirations of funds.

• Assist in the “on-boarding” process, for new partners as per LOB’s requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

• Prior experience in creating integrated marketing plans required (online, email, direct mail, telemarketing, events, radio advertising) for a high tech company (channel experience, a plus)

• Experience working with an indirect channel sales model, including defining and implementing channel programs

o Understanding of 2 Tier Distribution Model

• Ability to understand a variety of technologies (centralized/cloud computing, networking, software/hardware)

• Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to work effectively across functional areas/departments

• Proven ability to work well with all levels of management and peers. Close attention to detail with emphasis on meeting critical deadlines

• Prior experience in budget management

• Ability to think strategically while implementing tactically

• Strong negotiators with sales and other internal marketing groups and stakeholders

• Strong Marketing execution skills

• Expertise in marketing strategy

• Performance measurement (Metrics)

• Experience developing go- to-market plans

• Comprehensive understanding of direct and indirect sales. (What drives salespeople & how to work with them)

• Expertise in marketing through channels

• Effective contract negotiation skills

• Content Management

• Copywriting knowledge

• Good Project Management skills

Requirements

• Professional marketing qualification mandatory

o Degree/MBA and equivalent 7+ years industry experience

• Hands on experience with all Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Good organizational skills, is detail oriented, and is excellent at using quantitative data to drive recommendations and decisions

• Budget management skills

• Travel required
